Ingredients

  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • ¾ cup all-purpose flour
  • 1¾ cups milk
  • ¼ cup fresh lemon juice
  • Zest of 1 lemon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Powdered sugar, for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a pie dish or square baking dish.
  2. In a bowl, whisk melted butter and sugar until combined.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, whisking well after each.
  4. Stir in flour until smooth.
  5. Slowly whisk in milk, lemon juice, lemon zest, and vanilla—the batter will be very thin.
  6. Pour into prepared dish and bake 45–50 minutes, until set and lightly golden on top.
  7. Cool completely, then dust generously with powdered sugar before slicing and serving.
