Ingredients
- ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs
- ¾ cup all-purpose flour
- 1¾ cups milk
- ¼ cup fresh lemon juice
- Zest of 1 lemon
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Powdered sugar, for dusting
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a pie dish or square baking dish.
- In a bowl, whisk melted butter and sugar until combined.
- Add eggs one at a time, whisking well after each.
- Stir in flour until smooth.
- Slowly whisk in milk, lemon juice, lemon zest, and vanilla—the batter will be very thin.
- Pour into prepared dish and bake 45–50 minutes, until set and lightly golden on top.
- Cool completely, then dust generously with powdered sugar before slicing and serving.
