🛒 Ingredients
Pork Chops
- 4 bone-in pork chops
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp paprika
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- Oil for frying
Bacon Gravy
- 5–6 slices bacon, chopped
- 2 tbsp flour
- 1½ cups milk (or more for thinner gravy)
- Salt & black pepper to taste
- Optional: pinch of cayenne
👩🍳 Instructions
- Marinate the pork chops
Place pork chops in buttermilk and refrigerate for 30 minutes–2 hours. - Prepare coating
In a bowl, mix flour, salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder. - Bread the pork chops
Remove chops from buttermilk, let excess drip off, then dredge well in seasoned flour. - Fry
Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat.
Fry pork chops 4–5 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through.
Remove and keep warm. - Make bacon gravy
In the same pan, cook bacon until crispy.
Remove excess grease, leaving about 2 tbsp fat.
Stir in flour and cook 1 minute.
Slowly whisk in milk until smooth.
Season with salt, pepper, and cayenne. Simmer until thick. - Serve
Spoon hot bacon gravy over pork chops. Garnish with parsley if desired.
